PsychoGenics offers Quantitative EEG (QEEG) in animal models of CNS disorders and Pharmaco-EEG to study the effects of CNS active compounds on brain activity. We offer custom electrode configurations for EEG, ECoG, and local field potential (LFP) recordings from cortical and subcortical regions (i.e. hippocampus and striatum) using our scalable (multiple animals recorded simultaneously) tethered or telemetric (wireless) platforms.
Quantitative EEG or QEEG is a mathematical and statistical analysis of EEG activity. It is used broadly in most neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders including in the study of epilepsy and seizure disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, depression and bipolar disorder, PTSD and anxiety disorders, learning disabilities and memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, as well as schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease.
