Neurological Disorders
PsychoGenics provides a battery of tests that sequentially measure various capabilities of mice including sensory (visual, auditory, touch), motor (gait, balance, ataxia) and autonomic (salivation, defecation, urination) responses. Test results provide extensive information about:
- Basal functions of mutant or drug-treated mice
- The interaction of a drug with a certain genotype (either strain or mutant).
- Other possible undetected effects, which may suggest further testing in other behavioral paradigms, or may help in interpreting results obtained in the more complex follow-up tests evaluating higher brain functions.
